Dr Francis Coachman
Dr Francis Coachman is the DSD Planning Center Director and graduated in Dentistry from the University of São Paulo in Brazil. He went on to obtain a degree in Surgical Anatomy of the Face from the University of São Paulo and a certificate in Implantology from Senac Dental School. He has extensive experience in complex implant cases and is an accredited fellow in zygomatic implants.

Yes. You do not need to attend any other DSD course before attending a DSD Residency Implants course.
Of course we’re going to be sharing DSD principles and DSD workflows on this course but you can definitely enjoy all the benefits of this course even if you have never done another DSD course before. Hopefully you will come to this course and afterwards you will enjoy the DSD ideas so much that you will attend the other DSD courses as well, but you don’t need to attend the other courses before this one. Just join us!
No. It’s not necessary to attend DSD Residency 1 or 2 before the DSD Residency Implants course.DSD Residency 2 is a continuation of DSD Residency 1, but DSD Residency Implants is a completely independent course that you can do even before doing the DSD Residency 1. So DSD Residency Implants can definitely be your first ever DSD course.
The answer is ‘yes’. Why? First of all, because our faculty is extremely experienced. The brainstorm and the interactions and the discussions will raise everybody’s level. In addition, because we will be demonstrating new surgical planning and designing techniques, and you’re going to be able to also learn how to perform high-end implant dentistry with the DSD workflows.
Therefore, we strongly believe that this is also a course for people who already have experience with implants. Wherever you are in terms of level, we’re going to take you to the next level all together.
No, everything you need to take part in the course will be taught to you during the program. The concepts and strategies and workflows that we are going to share on the course can be used with any implants. Therefore, we strongly believe that regardless of what implant system you use, this course will add a lot of value to your existing know-how.
The answer is ‘yes’. This course is for foreigners, so 99% of all the participants will be coming from outside Brazil. That’s another big reason why we partner with IOA University, because they have the infrastructure and they have the means to allow licenses for all the course participants. IOA University will take care of these licenses so you can practice in Brazil during the course with all the protection necessary. All patients, before and after the course, are also the responsibility of IOA University. So you don’t have to worry - if you’re not a Brazilian practitioner, if you don’t have a Brazilian license, you can still come to the course and practice safely in Brazil during the course.
On DSD Residency 1, you learn the overview of the whole DSD philosophy with all the concepts and frameworks. It’s the ‘big picture’ course. It’s the intro course.On DSD Residency 2, you watch over our shoulders. You see our clinical team of experts performing digital dentistry at the highest level. You see all the procedures from all the specialties in one course. On the DSD Implants course, you come and join us, and with our supervision, you are going to perform, on real patients, with your own hands. DSD Residency 1, you learn. DSD Residency 2, you watch. DSD Implants, you perform.
You can cancel your order any time up until 15 days before the first day of the course. If for any reason the course cannot go ahead, you will also be entitled to a full refund, or you will be given the option to transfer to another course in any location.
Citizens of the USA, Australia, Canada & Japan will be able to travel to Brazil without a visa. Not all passport holders need a visa to travel to Brazil. Please be aware of countries' different visa requirements in order to enter Brazil. You can view the full list of exempt countries here
All materials and equipment are included in the course for the clinical execution sessions of the program. If you use loupes we recommend that you bring your own along with you.
