The moment I decided that I wanted to design smiles guided not by stone models but by the face, learning about smiles in harmony with faces and facial static principles. Right at the beginning of this process, it was clear to me that moving teeth would always be a great solution to make a smile design project a reality.
My epiphany moment came when I was doing handmade wax-ups. It was seeing the discrepancy between where the tooth was and where my wax-up was. I understood that it was only by adopting a comprehensive approach that we could eliminate this discrepancy. And for me, a comprehensive approach meant combining various surgeries, restorations and tooth movement.”
