Design of a full set of reduction guides and prep quality control guides, guided by the ideal design, to be used for the DSD Natural Restorations. We can also manufacture them for you.

The DSD Prep Guides Design product includes the design for a full set of reduction and prep-quality control guides used to prepare the teeth for DSD Natural Restorations. They are created according to the DSD Ideal Design.
The DSD Prep Guides product helps and guides you in the tooth prep for porcelain restorations. It includes the references you need to ensure your preps give enough clearance for the final restorations. They are designed according to the DSD Ideal Design.
We strongly recommend they are used for all DSD Natural Restoration cases.

This is a digital product, delivered in STL format.
An .STL file of the DSD Prep Guides design that can be used for manufacture, either by DSD Lab or your local lab.
Yes. For us to start the DSD Prep Guides design, you'll need to have added to the case a main design product: either DSD Upper & Lower, DSD Upper, DSD Lower, DSD Ortho Planning + TPS or DSD Interdisciplinary.
When assigning the DSD Prep Guides design to a case, you'll be prompted to inform:
* Current color of teeth
* Desired color of the final prosthesis
* Any other clinical specifications you may have
This information is optional, and allows DSD to more accurately plan prepping depth and suggest final restoration color.
Please note that updated documentation is necessary to be uploaded when the current patient's situation has changed from what was considered for the initial smile design. In these instances, an Update Smile design product is additionally required, before designing the DSD Prep Guides.
