Update Interdisciplinary Design

The DSD Interdisciplinary update design represents an enhanced and revised version of the initial digital wax-up for both the upper and lower arch, embodying our most comprehensive approach. It is crafted through a facially-driven, clinical, and functional analysis based on the latest documentation from the patient.

The DSD Interdisciplinary update design is necessary when:

• There is already a main planning design product in place. However, given the complexity of the case, a more detailed and interdisciplinary approach is necessary. This product goes beyond the initial planning, elevating the case planning to a more comprehensive level. It considers a broader range of disciplines to ensure a thorough and detailed plan for the case.

• There are significant changes in the oral situation. This product updates the initial design (DSD Interdisciplinary) with the latest and most accurate patient information. It is recommended for cases delayed for 1 or 2 years from receipt or when the patient's oral condition has been modified due to treatment.

Delivery times range from 2 to 5 business days after the Live Treatment Planning session depending on the complexity of the case

You'll receive 6 digital files:

• DSD Interdisciplinary presentation: a powerpoint presentation, containing all the essential images and videos of the ideal upper and lower smile design, treatment simulations, treatment plan suggestions, and a 2D smile simulation, enabling you to understand what is needed to achieve a facially-driven, functional and harmonious smile for your patient.

• STL File of the Upper Pre Treatment: the model of the actual situation of the patient overlapped with the DSD Upper, in which the original model is digitally untouched.

• STL File of the Lower Pre Treatment: the model of the actual situation of the patient overlapped with the DSD Lower, in which the original model is digitally untouched.

• STL File of the Upper Post Treatment: the model of the actual situation of the patient overlapped with the DSD Upper, in which the original model is digitally trimmed, so the simulation of the final outcome can be appreciated.

• STL File of the Lower Post Treatment: the model of the actual situation of the patient overlapped with the DSD Lower, in which the original model is digitally trimmed, so the simulation of the final outcome can be appreciated.

• STL File of the Motivational Mockup: the DSD Upper adapted over the model of the actual situation of the patient, so the design can be additive. This is the STL file you will use for the smile test drive, to help motivate and engage the patient.

This product serves as one of our "update design options," designed to obtain the most accurate and detailed patient information, for complex planning. It is particularly valuable for "Pre-Case acceptance" scenarios, facilitating the introduction of treatment planning to patients.
