Dr José Manuel Navarro was born in Las Palmas, Spain, and attended Gordonstoun School in Scotland, before returning to Madrid to complete his dental degree.
After graduating, José undertook a three-year program in Periodontology and Implant Dentistry at New York University College of Dentistry. He was also awarded a Master of Science in Biomaterials from NYUCD for his research on high-strength ceramics.
Dr Navarro has received awards for his research from various societies, including the Academy of Osseointegration presentation awards in 2007 and the European Academy of Esthetic Dentistry Research Award 2011. He has co-authored several performance reviewed publications and book chapters and is co-editor of the book ’High Strength Ceramics’. He has also lectured throughout Europe, South America, North America, and Asia.
Outside of work, José is a capable sportsman having competed at national level in tennis and golf. He is fluent in English, German, and Spanish and currently practices dentistry between Las Palmas, Madrid, and London.
