Born in Cali, Colombia, Rafael graduated from Astedent as a Dental Technician 24 years ago.
He is specialized in restorations and custom cosmetics and has his dental laboratory in Aventura, Florida.
Digital photography is his passion, and he has taken courses taught by experts such as Dr Ed McLaren, Claude Sieber MDT, and Felix Pages CDT.
As a ceramist, Rafael has worked with world-renowned mentors throughout his career, such as Felix Pages CDT, and Claude Sieber CDT, MDT.
He has had cases and techniques published in "Soft Tissue and Esthetic Consideration in Implant Therapy" written by Dr Anthony Sclar.

First Latino to teach Ivoclar e.max programs in Spanish in the United States of America in 2010 and online in 2011.
He also conducts private courses certified by the NBC (National Board of Certification) in his facilities, where he currently operates his dental laboratory in the city of Aventura, Florida.
Rafael is a member of the American College of Prosthodontics and an honorary member of the ACO (Colombian Academy of Osseointegration), as well as the Colombian Academy of Prosthodontics and has been part of Dr Michael Pikos' team as an instructor of the CTI course.
In 2012, Rafael gave the first international course for Ivoclar - Latin America.
He was part of the Ivoclar Implant Esthetic Center of Excellence in Sarasota, Florida.
