Dr Christina Becker owns a dental clinic in Idar-Oberstein, Germany. After building up her clinic and team from scratch and becoming a certified DSD Clinic, she was ready to create a brand that conveys what she can offer her patients – and we were delighted to help her make it a reality.
Our goal was:

✅ To create a brand identity
✅ To develop brand guidelines and logo starter pack
In this case study we will explain the steps involved in the Logo and Brand Identity Pack service and how we worked with Dr Becker to create her new brand.
Dr Becker’s journey with DSD so far
After attending a DSD Residency 1 Livestream course in 2022, Dr Christina Becker had her sights set on becoming an official DSD Clinic, the premium membership level of Digital Smile Design. Over the next two years, she established her clinic and hired and trained her team, all with the DSD concepts in mind.
In May 2024 she then joined us at the DSD Provider course and began the process of earning DSD Clinic accreditation - becoming part of the network in August 2024. In addition, her team has already completed the DSD Consultancy and they are currently undergoing the DSD Clinic Coaching with one of our experienced clinical coaches.
With all these changes, Dr Becker began thinking about refreshing the image of her clinic with a rebrand and she reached out to us to get the ball rolling. We suggested our exclusive service, the DSD Clinics Logo and Brand Identity Pack.
The five stages of creating a brand identity
The logo and brand identity pack is a service we offer exclusively to DSD Clinics. It’s designed for those practices that want to evolve and refine their current brand, create a sub-brand or even produce a brand from scratch – and it will help you to integrate DSD into your clinic image.
The whole process takes place in five stages which go from getting your initial thoughts down on paper right through to the final delivery of a ready-made brand and all the materials you need to bring it to life.
Stage 1: Brand archetyping
In this first stage, our aim was to gain a deeper understanding of Dr Becker’s values and aspirations, and discuss her preferences for the look and feel of the logo. We guided her through a number of exercises that generated a shortlist of potential names, taglines and brand attributes. She was then able to review the options and select the ones that resonated most with her.
At the end of this step, the name, tagline and brand attributes were defined as follows:
Clinic name: Lächeln & Mehr
Tagline: Ihre Zahnvision
Brand attributes: Elegant, trustworthy, holistic, feminine, organic, sophisticated, empathetic, personalized
Stage 2: Logo creation
With the new name decided, our team then got to work creating a new logo that transmitted the qualities Dr Becker wanted for her brand. We designed various options and grouped them according to their feel: exclusive and elegant, trustworthy and established, friendly and feminine.
We then got together with Dr Becker to present our ideas as well as some mock up images to show how the logo and branding could look in the reception area, on her team’s uniforms, on dental products, on a tablet, and in DSD Clinics exclusive marketing materials.
Stage 3: Sign off
Dr Becker selected a logo from the options presented.
Stage 4: Brand guidelines and supporting assets
With her sign off, we moved onto creating the range of assets included in the logo and brand identity pack service. These are:

We also created a brand manual which sets out important information such as logo rules, branding colors, typography and logo variations. This guides clinic teams on the correct and consistent use of branding and can be shared with external suppliers when creating branded products such as clinic uniforms or brochures.
Stage 5: Final delivery
Once finalized, we delivered all the assets containing her new brand in a ready-to-use format alongside the brand guidelines document. From start to finish, the whole process lasted four months.

This was a great project to work on with Christina and the end result was an eye-catching logo that aligns with her vision for the clinic.
