There are so many great professionals out there that staying up to date with every one of them just isn’t possible. And since there’s no use following someone whose content doesn’t resonate with you, we suggest editing your list of dental influencers to follow by keeping a few criteria in mind.
- Are they aligned with your philosophy and how you currently (or aspire to) practice? Or do they inspire you to make necessary changes to your career or clinic life?
- Have they achieved the goals you have set or are they working towards them?
- Will their ideas help you advance in your own career and practice?
- Will they keep you up to date on the latest innovations, events and goings on in the field?
- Lastly, do you find their content interesting? When time is precious, there’s no need to follow someone who you don’t find entertaining and inspiring.
Top dental influencers for dentists to follow in 2025
Markus Blatz
Respected educator, author and international lecturer Dr Markus Blatz is professor of restorative dentistry, Chairman of the Department of Preventive and Restorative Sciences and Assistant Dean for Digital Innovation and Professional Development at the University of Pennsylvania. He is also the founder of the Penn Dental Medicine CAD/CAM Ceramic Center.
In clinical practice, Dr Blatz focuses on dental esthetics, dental materials, and implant dentistry. He holds doctorate degrees and a postgraduate certificate in prosthodontics from Albert-Ludwigs University in Freiburg, Germany.
Marcelo Calamita
