Ortho Planning + TPS

DSD Ortho Planning is a digital plan and orthodontic setup of the upper and lower arches, designed considering a facially-driven, clinical and functional analysis of the patient. It is a valuable option for clients who want their orthodontic treatments to be guided by a DSD Design, using any orthodontic system.

The TPS and ortho quality control are included in the DSD Ortho Planning product, transferring the final approved position to the aligners planning software, enhancing predictability and optimizing strategies for achieving the ideal final outcome.

DSD Ortho planning + TPS is the main DSD product for diagnosing, planning, explaining, and motivating your patient, whether it’s for pure orthodontic cases or orthodontic-restorative treatments. The TPS is essential to translate the approved position into the aligners planning software, increasing predictability and refining strategies toward achieving the optimal final result.

4 digital files, which are:

• DSD Ortho Planning presentation: a powerpoint presentation, containing all the essential images of the DSD Ortho treatment plan, including our colour coded treatment suggestions, enabling you to understand what is needed to achieve a facially-driven, functional and harmonious smile for your patient.
  
• STL File of the Motivational Mockup: the DSD Upper plan adapted over the model of the actual situation of the patient, so the design can be additive. This is the STL file you will use for the smile test drive, to help motivate and engage the patient. The STL of the Motivational Mockup is for the upper arch only.
  
• DSD TPS Final Report presentation: a pdf presentation containing all the images and necessary information of our final strategies and plan sent after your final ClinCheck approval.
  
• DSD Ortho Quality Control: .pptx presentation that assesses the progress of orthodontic movements, comparing them with the proposed DSD design.

*Please note that the TPS report will be sent to you at a later stage of the process. Once the initial DSD Ortho Planning is approved, you can submit the case to Invisalign, and upon receiving the ClinCheck, the case needs to be shared with our TPS team.

• DSD Clinics: Up to 5 business days
• DSD Members and Providers: Up to 7 business days

For the correct execution of the planning, we require the following information:

Mandatory

1. DSD Photo Protocol, including 5 photos and video
2. STL file of the upper arch and STL file of the lower arch in occlusion (upper arch with full palate)

Optional (but beneficial)

1. Panoramic X-Ray, or periapical X-ray
2. Bimaxillary CBCT in multi-slice DICOM format

We are currently implementing the use of CBCT files for orthodontic planning, which allows us to segment roots, bone and other important anatomical structures for a more comprehensive study and planning. For you to fully benefit from this feature, we would like to request the complete CBCT of both arches together in the same file.

This is one of the products that we call a “Pre-Case Acceptance Product” (Design, Plan and Motivate), which means it is one of the initial products that is mandatory for you to be able to request any subsequent product, which are the “Post-Case Acceptance Products” (Perform, Restore, Manufacture).
