Ortho TPS

Ortho TPS is a flexible orthodontic planning service designed to help clinicians execute aligner treatments with precision and confidence. It consists of DSD’s expert team reviewing and planning the orthodontic setup directly within the aligner software platform of your choice (e.g., Invisalign®, Spark®, ClearCorrect®, etc.).

To begin, the only requirement is to share your Ortho Setup/Simulation with the DSD team. From there, we adapt to the complexity of your case and offer three ideal scenarios for when to use Ortho TPS:

1. Without a Previous Design

   – Best for simple aligner cases.

   – Fast turnaround.

   – Ideal when a full design isn’t needed.

2. Following a Diagnostic Design or Upper & Lower

   – Ensures that tooth movements follow a predefined aesthetic and functional design.

   – Especially useful for interdisciplinary treatments.

3. After Ortho Planning

   – Ideal for complex cases.

   – Guarantees full alignment with a facially-driven approach by using the simulation provided in the Ortho Planning stage.

What’s Included in Ortho TPS:

1. The initial orthodontic treatment plan created within your aligner software.
2. One Ortho Quality Control, comparing the current situation with the ideal setup.
3. One refinement, ensuring a final tuning of the case at the end of treatment or as needed.

You can order Ortho TPS at any point. You have the option to use this service independently, without any prior DSD planning, or you can integrate it into your workflow after a Diagnostic Design, Ortho&Surgical Planning or any Upper & Lower product.

The standard turnaround time for Ortho TPS is up to 10 days.

However, please be aware that modifications can impact this timeline. This also applies to any refinement requests you may have.

You can verify the current turnaround time by reaching out to the Planning Center team for further assistance.

For the correct execution of the planning, we require the following information:

1. Share the case via your aligner platform (e.g., Invisalign, Spark, ClearX) with DSD added as a collaborator or provider, both for the initial planning and for any refinement stages.
2. When a refinement or orthodontic quality control is required, please upload and send new STL files showing the patient’s current situation (post-ortho). This will allow DSD to perform the quality control and compare it with the ideal design or previous simulation.

Several digital files, which are:

1. DSD TPS Final Report presentation: a pdf presentation containing all the images and necessary information of our final strategies and plan sent after your final ClinCheck approval.
2. Upon request, the Ortho Quality Control viewer and the TPS Refinement Report will be provided after the first set of aligners has been completed, or following any subsequent refinement sets.
