What does this process look like?
The process of working with the DSD Planning Center has been optimized to facilitate communication between itself, dental offices and dental labs, and it starts with submitting a case.
DSD has developed an easy-to-use documentation protocol for you to digitize your patients and upload their files. At this time you will also select a design service, such as a DSD Upper or DSD Lower. A DSD Upper design is one of the most popular among DSD Planning Center clients as it is a powerful motivational tool for patients that facilitates case acceptance.
With this documentation submitted, our expert team of smile designers can start creating the optimal treatment plan for your patient that is realistic, as functional, and in harmony with their unique facial features.
DSD Planning Center treatment plans help you translate the ideal design into the patient's mouth
Once the initial treatment planning phase is completed, you receive a detailed report that contains the findings and the stereolithography (STL) files of the ideal smile design and mockup. At this point, you will have the chance to discuss any modifications you'd like to make to the design with the DSD Planning Center team.
Upon your acceptance of the treatment plan, a report with the STL files will be transferred electronically to you and your dental lab via a data-protected channel. This report includes
A list of the manufactured products required to achieve the end result, as accepted by the patient during the motivational mockup.
Access to the software used so that you or your dental lab can make changes before manufacture. This is particularly useful if you have an in-house lab in your clinic.
After your dental lab receives the report, they can initiate the manufacture of the case, enabling you to start creating a beautiful new smile for your patient.
