As the first and only interdisciplinary treatment planning center of its kind, the services provided by the DSD Planning Center improve case acceptance rates and facilitate accurate clinical execution. When dentists first hear about us and see the quality of our work, many ask how they can submit their own cases for this unique treatment planning service.
Before submitting a case there are two key requirements to collaborate with the DSD Planning Center. Firstly, doctors need to be enrolled in the DSD Mastership program or be a certified DSD Clinic. Secondly, there are specific protocols for submitting a case that lay the foundation for world-class interdisciplinary treatment planning.
In this article, we zoom in on these requirements to give you some insights into the case submission process and how you could join this elite network of dentists who work with us daily from around the world.

How can you become a DSD Planning Center client?
Here at the DSD Planning Center we serve a global client base who order our services and products every day. Our high-end team of dental specialists, CAD designers, dental technicians, and engineers deliver exceptional treatment plans but also forge strong bonds with the dentists who work with us.
To stay committed to delivering high standards of comprehensive treatment planning, the DSD Planning Center remains exclusive to dentists who are certified DSD Clinics or enrolled in the DSD Mastership program.
Once onboarded in either pathway, doctors will be guided by the DSD Planning Center team on the specific steps required to submit a case.

Why submit a case with the DSD Planning Center?
The cases planned with the DSD Planning Center are based on interdisciplinary treatment planning and patient-centered documentation. As our client base continues to grow we see how clients are recognizing firsthand the impact these treatment-planning services have on their patients.
From the start of case acceptance, we use a webchat forum for clinical discussion about the case. This is to ensure you have easy access to communication with DSD Planning Center members who will accompany you through every decision and design of treatment.
Our distinction involves inspiring doctors to connect with patients using storytelling. Whether it’s a straightforward composite bonding case or a full-mouth rehabilitation, the patient’s journey guides every facet of treatment planning. This approach is integral to our case acceptance strategies and ensures high success rates.
What is the process for submitting a case with the DSD Planning Center?
The process of submitting a case to the DSD Planning Center involves two fundamental steps: the digital documenting of the patient and the case discussion. These two steps are characterized by customized, on-demand support from a dedicated patient management team to guide you through the case submission and feedback process.
Digital Documentation
DSD has developed a simple documentation protocol for dentists to document and digitalize all their patients in an easy and organized way. This specific documentation process ensures that the DSD Planning Center can provide the highest quality of treatment planning with the digital software used.
Once you have created an account, all cases you submit to the DSD Planning Center follow our detailed protocol and patient digitalization steps to facilitate 3D treatment planning. With this basic documentation submitted, and a design service selected such as the DSD Upper & Lower, the DSD Planning Center team can start working on the smile design for the patient.

To accurately plan the surgery guides and to produce natural restorations that have the perfect fit, DSD has also developed precise protocols for scanning and margin validations, and clients who choose to manufacture with the DSD Lab have their full support to ensure the best quality outcomes.
Case Discussion
Once the documentation has been uploaded through your account with the DSD Planning Center it will take 3-5 business days for the center to deliver a detailed report that contains the findings and the stereolithography (STL) files of the ideal smile design and mockup.

With your planned case, you will have the chance to discuss any modifications you'd like to make to the design directly in the case’s webchat with the DSD Planning Center team. This is also an opportunity for us to explain our treatment plan strategies, providing you with a full understanding of the plan to then explain to the patient, during the second appointment, along with presenting the motivational mockup.
If the case proves to be more complex, you might be directed to our Live Treatment Planning Service to further discuss and break down solutions on an online call with a select DSD Planning Center member.
How many cases can you submit?
As a DSD Planning Center client, there is no limit to the number of cases you can submit at any given time. With each purchase, you are eligible to earn DSD Coins, the rewards program that unlocks additional benefits with the DSD Planning Center.
