The turning point
When Dr Agnieszka Misiejuk first signed ArtDent Clinic up to become a Certified DSD Clinic, her goal was simple: stop the stress of unpredictable restorations. Today the Sopot-based dentist says “the best part now is ordering a restoration and knowing it will arrive natural-looking, perfectly fitted and beautifully designed—no extra appointments, no last-minute corrections.”
Agnieszka’s fascination with Digital Smile Design dates back 15 years, when she watched Christian Coachman demonstrate the very first DSD concepts at an esthetics conference in Poland. “My jaw dropped,” she remembers. This was the dentistry she dreamt of mastering, but wanted to gain more experience before taking the leap to making this her daily routine. Still early in her career, she focused on refining her craft and setting up her own clinic. Years later she saw an advert for the DSD Residency course and embraced the opportunity. Afterwards, she returned to Poland determined to become a DSD Clinic.
Before embracing DSD, every big restorative case felt like a gamble to her. Her main challenge was that while mock-ups looked good in the lab, they rarely resembled the final crowns in the patient’s mouth. Her attempts to correct this with frantic last-minute adjustments eroded her confidence and her patients’ trust. In addition, she found clear aligner treatment equally nerve-wracking; Invisalign® ClinChecks left her guessing, and as a GP without orthodontic training she felt exposed making changes alone.
From painpoints to predictability
Working with DSD changed the atmosphere almost overnight. Working hand-in-hand with the DSD Planning Center and DSD Lab, she began receiving meticulously designed restorations that fitted exactly as planned—no more chairside compromises. “I feel safe working with the Planning Center,” she explains. “I know the final work will be the best I can receive, and at the same time I can keep growing, developing and learning something new.” The Center’s interdisciplinary team turned free-hand improvisation into guided, data-driven execution; restorations started slotting in exactly as designed.
She also experienced significant improvement in her Invisalign cases. Personal mentoring sessions with clinical experts such as orthodontist, Dr Daniel Ramos, transformed aligner planning from a source of anxiety into one of her favorite parts of dentistry. “Now I have the courage to take on orthodontic cases,” she says. “The Planning Center specialists check everything and I feel completely safe delivering aligner treatments.” With this newfound predictability came joy. “I smile more now. I’m not stressed when the final work arrives; I’m excited,” she reflects on her improved stress levels.
Support that changes everything
Agnieszka chose DSD for one reason: never feeling alone with a case again.
DSD Planning Center delivers interdisciplinary treatment plans, 3D designs and step-by-step instructions for predictable cases.
Collective intelligence brings together experience and the best know-how from dental disciplines to all cases.
Unpredictable artistry into predictable excellence
Mentorship replaced isolation, confidence replaced doubt, and patients now buy dentistry with their hearts as much as with their heads.Live treatment planning sessions ensure cases achieve consistently outstanding outcomes.
“The best part today is ordering a restoration and knowing it will arrive natural-looking, perfectly fitted and beautifully designed—no extra appointments, no last-minute corrections.”

A clinic reborn
DSD’s influence reaches far beyond clinical outcomes in her practice. The DSD Planning Center support team provides multilingual communication tools, allowing Agnieszka to delegate tasks and train her staff despite the language gap. Patients notice the difference immediately: their first visit now includes a photo session and an emotional Smile Test-Drive that lets them feel their future smile before committing to treatment. The result is higher case acceptance, enthusiastic word-of-mouth, and a calmer, happier doctor leading the way. Case acceptance has climbed while chairside tension has vanished. “Now I’m happy and relaxed—I truly enjoy my daily work,” she says.
Looking ahead
The goals for 2025 and beyond are bold yet clear. ArtDent is building a dedicated DSD Room to deliver same-day smile test-drives and immersive smile simulations. Every team member will master DSD’s concierge-style protocols, ensuring the first-visit experience feels as luxurious as the final restorations look. Beyond the walls of her practice, Agnieszka plans to help shape dentistry across Poland: ArtDent will serve as a regional training hub, spreading the principles that have transformed her own career. “I’m proud to be the first in my city bringing dentistry forward in this way,” she concludes.
Life after DSD: calm, confidence, conversion
Before: last-minute lab fights, repeated adjustments, patients losing trust.
After: natural-looking finals that fit, relaxed appointments, patients eager to start once they test-drive their new smile.
The change is palpable in the waiting room: “Patients feel the emotion—dentistry suddenly feels safe and exciting,” she says.
“I feel safe working with the Planning Center. I know the final work will be the best I can receive, and at the same time I can keep growing, developing and learning something new.”
